Configurable RF Power Architecture for Multiport Cavity Excitation

A configurable RF power architecture providing either 800 W combined output or four coherent 50 W channels for multiport cavity excitation.

Passive RF components can serve as modular building blocks alongside power amplifiers when creating configurable RF energy systems.

E-REON combined a custom lumped-element power combiner with the synchronisation function of its PA module to support two operating configurations:

  • up to 800 W combined output with forward and reflected-power measurement and automatic level control; or
  • four coherent 50 W channels for driving a multiport RF cavity.

This approach allows the same amplifier and passive-component architecture to support either a higher-power combined output or multiple coherent RF channels.
